Fashion Straw Poll: The Shoe Bootie

nordstrom_bootieI need pumps.  But after trying on heaps of shoes and not finding a thing, I looked around today and thought – hey.  Why can’t I wear a shoe bootie instead?  I love the look, particularly when it’s cut off at the ankle (like these Pradas), but I’m assailed with doubts because this is for work casual, so likely paired with nylons and a knee-length skirt (probably pencil, possibly A-line), and I just don’t know if it can be DONE.  Word on the street seems pretty divided.

So to the fashionistas out there: Yes?  No?

I live in Seattle, Washington and work as a legal assistant. I remember learning to read (comic strips) at a young age and nowadays try to read about 5-6 books a week. I love to travel, especially to Europe, and enjoy exploring smaller towns off the tourist track though London is my favorite city in the world.
