With Child by Janice Kay Johnson was a winner in a our 2010 poll and its on sale. Dead Wrong Janice Kay Johnson is a good mystery. Anything and everything by Farrah Rochon I just purchased her New York football series.

If you like Anne Mather, a lot of her old Harlequin Presents are part of this sale!

For example, here is one of the books:
Take What You Want, a stepbrother romance from before decades before Penelope Ward.

Unfortunately they gave them new covers. :( (Check the link and tell me what you think. Does that look anything like an Anne Mather heroine?!) Also, if you search for Presents, they won’t show up because of the repackaging.

I just bought the new Tiffany Reisz because of all the good recs but it’s not in sale because it’s a new release. Still worth it, though!

For the sale, I’d like to browse for some Sarah Mayberry titles that I either never got around to reading or don’t own anymore. I re-read a few of her books recently and with the exception of one, they were still as good as I remember!

I totally have a thing for Carol Marinelli Medical Romance. I’ve read so many, I can’t even pick one over another. Possibly my all time fav HQs are the ones Maya Banks wrote for Desire. I think they have new covers now….

Not sure if all of these titles are on sale, but here’s my “Favorite Harlequin Presents” list at Goodreads…https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/2424608-penny-watson?shelf=favorite-hps

And here are some of the 5-star HPs I’ve read and loved over the last year…

The Irresistible Sicilian Series by Michelle Smart
The Perfect Cazorla Wife by Michelle Smart
Forgiven But Not Forgotten by Abby Green
The Legend of de Marco by Abby Green
In Christofides Keeping by Abby Green
Antonides Forbidden Wife by Anne McAllister
A Reputation for Revenge by Jennie Lucas
Bride in a Gilded Cage by Abby Green
Talos Claims His Virgin by Michelle Smart
Wedded, Bedded, Betrayed by Michelle Smart
Marchese’s Forgotten Bride by Michelle Reid

Abby Green and Michelle Smart are my 2 go-to authors for HP books. Love both of them!

Thanks so much for the rec Maria Rose! I’d forgotten that Cara McKenna writes as Meg Maguire. Just one clicked her Harlequin Blaze, Driving Her Wild. I picked that one to start with because on her Amz author page she says it’s her bestseller…So excited to try her writing under the Blaze line. Score!

As others have mentioned, Sarah Mayberry, Nicole Helm and Molly O’Keefe stories are well worth having. I’m also partial to anything by Samantha Hunter and Amy Jo Cousins The Tylers series. And for lovers of Cara McKenna, she’s written for Harlequin under the name Meg Maguire – The Wilinksis series was actually what I read of hers before discovering her books under Cara McKenna (Making Him Sweat, Taking Him Down and Driving Her Wild are the three in that series, though she has other single title harlequins as well).

I see now that some of the titles have been changed for Meg’s books, with updated covers. Making Him Sweat is now All or N0thing; Taking him Down is now Going the Distance (and both are still listed at Amazon; and Driving Him Wild is now Takedown (again, both are still available). So don’t trick yourself into buying the same book twice! The description with the new titles/covers says what the old title was, but not vice versa.

Nicole Helm has some wonderful recent romances. I love her farmer series for HSR. Molly O’Keefe has some great titles from her backlist on sale! And I’ll second the Carla Kelly and Sarah Mayberry recs. Suddenly You is one of my go-to comfort reads.

I snapped up Nicole Helm’ s All I Am this sale and enjoyed it (grumpy virgin farmer hero!!!) I also bought Andrea Laurence A Beauty Uncovered. I haven’t read it but came highly rec’d and seems to feature a Beauty and the Beast trope.

That was my first book by Nicole Helm. It actually came out originally as part of Harlequin’s now defunct digital only line, then it was released as a SuperRomance where several new chapters were added. I read it in it’s original form, then bought the expanded paperback. After that I made sure the series was on my radar, as well as some of her earlier books.

I’m beyond sad that some of the older Conard County books by Rachel Lee aren’t on the website because I loved them back when I was in college. I used to read all historical and rom susp but I discovered the Silhouette Intimate Moments line in college because there was a UBS that had tons of IM books from the 1990s. I remember there being a lot of strong reads, so I went a little crazy in the 1990s Intimate Moments section over on Harlequin Treasury. I also stocked up on Jessica Hart titles. She is a consistently strong writer. And if you’re in the mood for a lot of nostalgia and some occasional WTF-ery, I recommend Betty Neels, who is pretty much the queen of sweet medical romance.

Harlequin Historicals has some really good writers – I’d definitely recommend Marguerite Kaye’s Strangers at the Altar (a lovely marriage of convenience story) and Rumours that Ruined a Lady, which is a second chance romance with a very unusual twist to it. In fact, most of Ms. Kaye’s books are well worth reading. Louise Allen is another favourite – I enjoyed The Many Sins of Cris de Feaux recently, but I’ve rarely been disappointed in her books. More recently, new author Virginia Heath has made quite an impression and I enjoyed Her Enemy at the Altar and The Discerning Gentleman’s Guide.

Not an historical (shock, horror!) – I read Jessica Hart’s Mr. Not Quite Perfect for a reading challenge a few years back and loved it. And if Lucy Parker’s Act Like It is up for grabs, then grab it -it’s fab!

It’s a two part series – Hot Island Nights is the Harlequin, and then Sarah wrote the story of the jilted ex in Her Best Worst Mistake (and self pubbed it) – so they are easily read as standalones but are linked. . I enjoyed both those stories very much.

I’m a big fan of Ally Blake, who wrote a bunch for Harlequin Presents but seems to have stopped writing. Funny, short, sweet, packing a punch – what’s not to like? I’m sad she doesn’t write any more.

I’m bias since I write for them, but I recommend checking out Harlequin’s Romance line. The door’s close, but the stories have real emotional punch.

Sarah Mayberry’s books are good. I like Hot Island Nights and She’s Got It Bad. My favorite, however, is Suddenly You which is one of my go to pick me up books.
