Upcoming Romance Author Booksignings

Welcome to our new monthly feature of upcoming author book signings. I’d like to thank all of the authors who notified us of upcoming events by sending an email to aarbooksign  AT gmail.com. We’re going to try and focus on events up to three months in advance, so at the bottom of this post you’ll find events from late September through late November.

If you know of any events that we missed between now and mid-October, please post them in the comments section. If you know of any events occurring after mid-October, please send them to us at aarbooksign  AT gmail.com and we’ll add them to our notice in mid-October.

And as always, I’ll be interested in hearing from AAR readers about your experiences with book signings. Have you attended any book signings recently? If so, did you enjoy it? What was it like? I recently attended a multiple mystery author book signing at a local store. Only a small group of readers was present, so we actually had time to talk one-on-one with each of the authors. And the bookstore provided wonderful cupcakes and beverages for us as well – that was definitely a first for me. I ended up buying books by three, new-to-me authors, and am looking forward to diving into each of them.

But even more exciting, I’m planning on attending a book signing by one of my favorite romance authors in early November. I’ll definitely write about that event in our November update.

Disclaimer: I found these signings by extensive Web searches of both author and bookseller Web sites. They all appear to be free, but please contact the bookstore before you attend an event for additional information. And please let us know if you do attend a book signing, and how you liked it.

Anti-aging You can take 10 years off your face without plastic surgery by using the right anti-aging products. Microdermabrasion, chemical peels, retinoids and antioxidants are all methods more and more women are handling.

There are a lot of authors signing at the NJRW booksigning event on October 23 in Iselin, NJ…too many to list here, but a link might be in order. (http://njromancewriters.org/index.php?/conference/conference_bookfair/)

I’ll be there, she adds modestly.

And can I say how thrilled I am that you’re doing this? Have you considered making it a separate tab on the home page so it’s easily accessible and always visible?

I’ll be happy to spread the word to my author loops that this service is available by sending an email to you. Thanks much, AAR ladies!

I went to multiple book signings while living in VA, then we moved to the wilds of OK and had no opportunities. I love booksignings because they allow me to get a clear sense of the author’s voice in my head. I’m not interested in the authors’ personal life; I want to know how they view their characters and how they sound.

Where are the booksignings in Hawaii?!?! :) At least we have Captain Jack Sparrow sailing around the islands and the hot cast of Hawaii Five-O filming in Oahu.
