This video is not lying.  In fact, it’s about the clearest explanation of cricket I’ve ever gotten.  Which is about as clear as mud.  Cricket is nuts.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

Thanks for another informative site. Where else could I get that kind of info written in such a perfect way? I’ve a project that I’m just now working on, and I have been on the look out for such info.

I just saw an Indian movie called Dal Bole Haddipa which was about a girl who wanted to play Cricket on the Men’s team (no women’s team available). There was a long standing rivalry between a Pakistani team and the Indian team. The Indians had lost 9 straight games. The head of the Indian team summons his son from London to coach the team, and the girl disguises herself as a man to play. It’s sort of Bend it Like Beckham with musical numbers–a lot of fun even if the cricket portions make no sense at all.

We have lots of Indian students where I work and they are all cricket obsessed. One of them tried to explain it to me and I was lost. So I tried to explain baseball to him, and he was lost.

I guess you have to see it to understand it.

I’ve always enjoyed reading the description of the cricket match in “Murder Must Advertise” by Dorothy L. Sayers. It doesn’t get into details about the positions but does give you the flavour of the game.

I had the opportunity to learn the game from a pro up in Toronto when I was a teenager. We all loved it! Although, I think it helped that we had all the crazy guys in my youth group there to make it feel more authentic. Nothing like teenage boys to turn any athletic contest into a battle.

I’m Pakistani so Cricket is our fave sport. It’s a great sport once u get the hang of it and best part are the major hotties on all the teams! I suggest watching it with a friend or a group of ppl that are into it so they can explain it to you.

Oh my! I’ve always been curious about cricket. Thinking it’s too late to learn.
