I am preparing to make my dreary, somewhat scary, basement into a happy place where I can hide from my cares and children.
In Michigan we finished a huge part of the basement with cupboards on the lower part and bookshelves above to the ceiling. Walls, carpeting, overhead lights, a table, a comfortable couch, and reading lights. It was great! . :-)
I’d like to have a screened-in porch and new deck area with a fire pit. That’s probably not going to happen at this house, so I’ll settle for new interior paint. :) Thanks for the opportunity!
Well, first I’d like to buy the book – which is probably not sold at Bed, Bath & Beyond. LOL! BUT that’s one of my favorite stores! Let’s see, I could buy a bath pillow to lean against while reading the book in a hot bath. Or I could get some new cookware and read while I’m waiting for a fabulous dinner to cook. Or…gosh, the possibilities are endless! LOL!

Moved into a new house with huge picture windows facing the street. Decided I was going to make the curtains even though I hadn’t seen anything since junior high! We had sheets of rice paper pinned to the windows for two years, but I did it!

We added a screened porch. Huge mosquito’s here in the south. And I would love to replace carpet in bedrooms with hard wood, but that’s scary. Love Tessa Dare and can’t wait for this new book, I’ve read some real stinkers recently and need my faith restored. ;)

Can’t wait to read the book! Anyway, my husband and I decided to make a patio in the backyard on our own. It ended up being very uneven with dips and valleys so we had to call in an expert to fix it! We are always starting projects but end up calling in someone to fix them.
Since I am a renter, I haven’t had really any home improvement things. Just waiting for my landlord….
I’m currently reading this and enjoying it very much.
I would really love to replace all the windows in my house. And do a makeover of my kitchen.
