Herbal Tea
Midsummer may be an unusual time for praising herbal tea, but when I felt a bit under the weather yesterday, I prepared and drank my cup of chamomile tea with such profound pleasure that I want to share this with you.
I love herbal teas. My all-time favorite is wild berries, which I like to drink in winter – hot – as often as in summer – cold. I am almost equally fond of fennel tea, which I got used to while my sister and sister-in-law were nursing and adopted instantly. And while many people despise chamomile tea, because it reminds them of being sick, I love it because when I drink it, it means I am cossetting myself a bit.
What are your favorite sorts of herbal tea?

Useful information. Fortunate me I found your site unintentionally, and I’m shocked why this coincidence did not took place in advance! I bookmarked it.
I’m extremely partial to liquorice tea, to the extent that I seek it out wherever I go. I’ve also discovered the virtues of peppermint tea with real peppermint leaves, to the point now where I can no longer drink peppermint tea in a teabag without de-snobbing myself. Sigh.
MarissaB – Just the name is a true charmer and already has a soothing effect!
I like Jasmine tea at any time.
If I’ve had a really stressful day, I take Celestial Seasoning’s Tension Tamer by 5 PM. It’s great for calming ruffled nerves so that I can actually sleep by my regular bedtime at 9:30.
Their Sleepytime Tea is great, too.
Notice I’m into the soothing, calming teas.
