Have You Heard of Pinterest?
A couple of weeks ago two of my co-workers were kidding me about finally joining Facebook. One of then said “now we just have to get you signed up for Pinterest.” Of course I had never heard about the site, but then I am typically way behind the times.
If you are not familar with it, then let me explain. Or better yet let me just post the site’s definition of what it is.
Pinterest is a Virtual Pinboard.
Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.
First there are tons of ideas already posted on the general boards in numerous subjects like fitness, cooking, gardening, sewing, crafts, and decorating. If you see something you like there you can then re-pin it to your personal board. If you find something on the web you can post that on your board too. People or friends who follow you can now see all your favorite items in one place without you having to send them separate link codes. It is a perfect way to plan a party or a wedding since friends and family can view your ideas and comment on them.
For my friends it has taken the place of magazines. They find ideas for meals, desserts, decorating, beauty and more all on one site.

thank you for the information. I will definitly revisit this blog again.
This is the fitting blog for anyone who wants to seek out out about this topic. You realize a lot its nearly exhausting to argue with you (not that I truly would want…HaHa). You positively put a brand new spin on a topic thats been written about for years. Nice stuff, just great!
Wohh exactly what I was searching for, regards for posting . “The only way of knowing a person is to love them without hope.” by Walter Benjamin.
I have seen that clever real estate agents everywhere you go are getting set to FSBO Promotion. They are seeing that it’s in addition to placing a poster in the front area. It’s really concerning building human relationships with these traders who someday will become buyers. So, when you give your time and effort to serving these dealers go it alone – the “Law connected with Reciprocity” kicks in. Interesting blog post.
Cindy: Thanks for mentioning my photos. ;)
I joined about 2 weeks ago and I’m a touch lost but there are really no ‘help’ features but I need to watch the vid at the top of the post.
It asked me what I was interested in at the very beginning and then suggested boards I should follow but now that I understand what I’m looking for I would like to revisit that page but I don’t know how. And I’m not sure why I have a ton of kid activities that come up on potential boards but I don’t have kids!
Other than that I love the visual of all inspiration pics in one place – it’s very pretty and soothing. And really, there is no info about myself except my name – no age or where you live – just visually stunning pics and inspiration – Leeb – you should join and post your pics as I know there are lots of people who love to see them.
Also I have discovered businesses on it also – people who do interior design have inspiration pics and pics of their work.
Basically, I love it!
Thanks

I have a friend who LOVES Pinterest. She’s always find creative things to make.
I try to make sure that all my information is just between friends. Pinterest doesn’t bother me that much because you are just saying oh, I like this recipe, or isn’t this dress pretty.
So true.
I am not. I don’t do social networking sites that much. I just know I wouldn’t keep up with my bulletin board ;-) I am amazed at how much people are willing to post about themselves on the web. Guess I’ve watched too many crime shows to be comfortable doing that.
