Our picks are all over the board in terms of genres we’re looking to read. As you’ll see below, we had a contemporary and a historical tie for most hotly anticipated read among AAR’s staff. Finally, the last chapter in the Clan of the Cave Bear is supposed to be released on March 29! Been waiting 10 years!

Probably not considered romance, but I want to finally see the end of this series…got hooked in JUNIOR HIGH! Now I have kids in college. It’s been a loooong time.

I can’t speak from a publishers POV, but from a practical point of view, Rosario, a book released on the 29th would only be available the last three days of the month. To us, it’s easier and more truthful for anyone looking forward to the book to mark it as an April release, which I believe is the publisher’s intention.

March 29th books are considered April books, so the Higgins and the Ward will be on the list next month.

For me the only book to get in March is Lover Unleashed by JR Ward. Waiting, waiting, waiting…..

I’ve read galleys of Julie Ann Long’s book and Kristin Higgins and I have to say both are very, very good. I’ve not read Long before and her book was a very pleasant surprise – witty and lovely with a hero reminiscent of Heyer’s Duke of Avon (These Old Shades) or the Marquis of Vidal (Devil’s Cub). And the Higgins book is her best yet and one that is a ‘second chance at love’ story. My only quibble with the Higgins book (and it’s one I’ve had with most of her other books) is that there isn’t enough of the hero’s point of view. But it’s a great, emotional read.

I too am looking forward to River Marked.

I always look forward to Kristan Higgins books too. . .and that one was on my April list too. . .

Weird. . . I wonder how many others are listed for the wrong month.

I had it down for April, too. I think, in visiting the different sites that list books months and months ahead of time, that they may not get it quite right so far in advance. Then we pop them into our wish lists for the month first mentioned, never changing it, even though it changes as the year progresses.

The Higgins’ book is coming out Mar 29; that’s almost April. LOL

Opps! Dawson’s series is about the Callahan brothers, not Buchanan. Getting my series names mixed up!

I have River Marked by Patricia Briggs written down for release on March 1st, along with Shannon Butcher’s newest suspense novel, Living on the Edge. I didn’t get into Butcher’s PNR series, but I’ve enjoyed her suspense in the past. Also, Emily March (pen name for Geralyn Dawson) releases the second of her new series, Hummingbird Lake, March 22nd. Angel’s Rest, the first in the series out in Feb., actually overlaps with the Buchanan Bros series written as Dawson. It tells the story of John, the “”missing”” brother in the other series. On her website she said she changed pen names because she’s changing her writing style. These aren’t romantic suspense novels. From what I gather, they seem more like small town redemption type stories. I’m curious to see what they’re like.

I had a few books listed in the wrong month. Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen was on my April list, but it is going to be released Mar 22.
I am very excited about that one.
