Eagerly Awaited May Releases

With new books from Jo Goodman and Julie James, May is shaping up to be a month that just might be hard on the wallet. And let’s not forget, the legendary historical, The Windflower is finally being reissued in May. After hearing about this book my entire reading life, I’m curious to see if it’s as good as they say. What about you? Looking forward to anything this May?

Goodman definitely has some terrific books, but she has some fairly mediocre ones as well. Reviews are much appreciated and so I hope to read some others here!

JUST MY OPINION: What a surprise–another western bites the dust. I’ll read the new Jo Goodman and decide for myself since she has become one of those authors whose books beat the pants off other authors’ much more touted “”best”” books. Again, JMO and to each his own.

Goodman’s book was the one I was most looking forward to reading but the mediocre review has given me pause and so I may wait to hear from others first. There are a handful of novelists here that I generally like but am cautious about new releases from authors that have a hit and miss record with me in the past. I’m going to hold off and read more reviews first!
