Eagerly Awaited January Books
And just like that, it’s 2015! Even though my TBR pile remains ridiculously huge, I can’t resist taking a look at the January new releases list to see what books I just need to try. It looks like most of my AAR colleagues want to start the month off with new books, too. What about you?

Just noticed that Goodreads gave Duke of Dark Desires a 3.91 out of 54 reviews, with Manda Collins giving it 5 stars, and Caz giving it “”4.5 stars but feels closer to 4 than 5.””
I also realized there is another book I want to check out: Meet Me In Scotland: A Kilts and Quilts Novel by Patience Griffin. I just got her first book, To Scotland with Love, and if I enjoy it as much as Janga did, which I almost always do, I’ll get this second book too. Publishers Weekly also considered the first book a notable standout debut novel.
The Duke of Dark Desires by Miranda Neville is already a very favorite author of mine and Smart Bitches has already given this book an A, while Dear Author gave it a joint A-/B+, so I am ever so ready to go! The Romance Dish also mentioned two westerns I want to look into, The Gunslinger and the Heiress by Kathryn Albright, and Texas Mail Order Bride by Linda Broday. That’s probably it for this month for me.
Susanna Fraser, Rose Lerner and Lisa Marie Rice.
Last Call, a novella by Alice Clayton comes out 1/6 and is the last in her Wallbanger series. Midnight Promises by Lisa Marie Rice comes out 1/19. A few come out later in the month and maybe AAR considers them to be Feb releases: The Secrets of Sir Richard Kenworth by Julia Quinn 1/27, Catch a Falling Heiress by Laura Guhrke 1/27 and Rise (Zander’s story-Devin’s brother from What the Librarian Did) by Karina Bliss, on Goodreads for 1/28 (I don’t see it on Amazon though).
Yes, the end of month releases are listed by their publishers as February releases and so they will be on the February list. I know at least one of them is going to be on my personal Eagerly Awaiting, too. :)
