Criminal Minds

Two summers ago, it was Bones.  This summer, it’s Criminal Minds.  It seems that when school is out and I have the novel experience of work but no homework, I tend to binge on syndicated crime dramas.  Criminal Minds, like Bones, has been around for a while (5 or 6 years) which means there’s a pretty extensive list of old episodes that run in marathons.

What I like about Criminal Minds is that it’s very psychological.  Rather than look at a crime after the fact, it focuses on crimes of a serial nature; the team profiles the criminal and uses that information to predict their next move and get ahead of them.  Of course, given that the crimes on this show are frequently repeat crimes, often committed by people with serious issues, they tend to be the more terrifying ones: child abduction, pedophilia, serial killing, rape/murder.  It is sometimes really disturbing, but it still fascinating and compelling.

As I’m new to the series, I’m still placing myself in the time line of the series. My favorite characters are Morgan and Garcia (I love their banter and flirting), and I have a soft spot for Dr. Reid too.  Do you watch this show?  What do you think?

I am really loving the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A few of my blog visitors have complained about my blog not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Firefox. Do you have any solutions to help fix this issue?

Hello! Quick question that’s completely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My site looks weird when browsing from my iphone 4. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to correct this problem. If you have any suggestions, please share. Thanks!

A large percentage of of whatever you assert is astonishingly accurate and it makes me wonder the reason why I hadn’t looked at this in this light before. Your piece truly did turn the light on for me as far as this specific subject goes. But at this time there is 1 position I am not too cozy with and while I attempt to reconcile that with the main theme of your position, permit me see exactly what the rest of the subscribers have to say.Well done.

Hey there are using WordPress for your site platform? I’m new to the blog world but I’m trying to get started and set up my own. Do you need any html coding expertise to make your own blog? Any help would be really appreciated!

I won’t tell you why he left on the plot – that is the fun of watching ;-) Mandy P. left because he found the subject matter of the show disturbing and violent.

I also really like Hotch’s character. He’s so serious but so sweet. I really, really hated what happened with his wife.

I am a Criminal Minds junkie. My husband used to watch it, and I could not see the appeal. After about six months I started watching also,, and was hooked. I too, like the interplay between Morgan and Garcia, they are a hoot. And just as I am an avid re-reader, I have my favorite Criminal Minds episodes I watch on both ION and A & E networks. How can you not love the Dr. Reid character? He’s so earnest and socially inept, you just wanna hug him :-)

I was pleasantly surprised to find I enjoy Criminal Minds:Suspect Behavior also. I am a Janeane Garafolo convert, after seeing her on this show

I only caught a few shows when Mandy Patikin was on (surprisingly, since I’m a big fan of his), but have watched all of them since his leaving. I plan to get the earlier seasons and watch them too. Often while watching, I turn to my husband and say “I can’t believe I watch this show…”. It is so disturbing.

And yes, Dr. Spence Reid – love him! I find intelligence very sexy… lol

This show was my glom just last year. I watched on ION (which runs marathons pretty regularly) and DVD’s from Netflix and the library in order to get caught up. Love it. I also love the new series Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. Like you I am attracted to the psychological aspect of it – profiling is an interesting science.

Dr. Reid is easily my favorite, Penelope a close second. I also really liked Gideon, I thought the character really captured the essence of what being a profiler would really be like. I still miss him and it has been forever since he’s been on.
