TEST
Jennifer Keirans in her dual review of Dream Stone is right, anyone attempting to read this book without having read The Chalice and the Blade will be totally lost. Even though I had read the previous book, it took me a little time to reacquaint myself with the characters. However, after that happened, I was pleased to find myself enjoying the story immensely, right up until a few pages from the end.
The elfin clans of the tylwyth teg and the world of men are threatened by a great evil. Old enemies must become allies to prevent mass destruction. Set against this backdrop, an elf maiden and human man must use their strength together to control the dragons that must be called to save the world.
Llynya, an elfin warrior of the Yr Is-ddwfn clan, is honor bound to travel to the time gate in an attempt to rescue Morgan, Thief of Cardiff, who was lost in the worm hole due to Llynya’s mistake. She can still feel him falling, endlessly. The key to her quest is Mychael ap Arawn, the dragon born, and one of the few who can traverse the time weir.
Mychael has left the priesthood of his childhood far behind. He can feel the dragon blood in his veins calling him to his destiny. Thanks to a prophecy created long ago, he is the only one who can call the dragons in order to save the world. The last time he traveled the time gate, he was burned severely and suffers from wild visions due to the dragon blood. He fears for his sanity and is afraid he will die before he can call the dragons and complete his duty.
Llynya fascinates Mychael from their first meeting, in the previous book, where he saved her life. However, he knows his future is uncertain and refuses to assist her in reaching her own doom in the time caves. Mychael is definitely a tortured hero, but Llynya is no shrinking violet. She has her own demons to face, and through her developing relationship with Mychael is able to conquer her fears. The tension between these two was absorbing, and I found it hard to put this book down.
There is plenty of adventure, and I found myself enjoying this book more than the previous book. Morgan’s story will be told in the forthcoming story, which I’m sure will include the character, Nennius.
My major problem with this story came at the end. After all the build up over the dragons and what might happen, the dragons show up and then the whole war and remaining plot are wrapped up in a few paragraphs. The dragons deserved better, and so did the readers.

excellent book: interesting, funny dialogs, deep understanding of each character, interesting secondary characters, and also sexy.
I don’t think anyone expects you to post UK prices – it’s just a shame that such a great sale…
I’m sorry about that. We don’t have any way to post British prices as an American based site.
I have several of her books on my TBR and after reading this am moving them up the pile.
