Back to Bones

Over the summer, I fell in love with Fox’s Bones.  And ever since, I’ve been anxiously awaiting the premier of season five — which aired last night.

I was one of those few people who actually enjoyed the season four finale.  Maybe I’m just a sucker for romance, but I LOVED seeing Booth and Brennan together like that.  So I, like all other fans, went into Season Five with the burning question:  will they or won’t they?

I, for one, think the writers should just go for it.  Hook them up.  See what happens.  So I was happy when they started making a few (albeit small) steps in that direction in the season opener.  The much anticipated “I love you” scene was a bit anti-climactic, though– I think Caroline (as much as I love her) interrupted a bit too soon.  That said, after Booth saves Brennan from the doctor– so sweet.  I heard in the original script for that scene there was supposed to be a kiss, but I’m holding Emily Deschanel to her promise that there will be much more kissing this season.  I guess I can wait.  I’m just glad that their chemistry is still as strong as ever.

If you watch Bones, what did you think about the season opener? Any predictions for this upcoming year? And what did you think about Cyndi Lauper’s character?

I am not abundant of a bloke who thinks in therefore deeply about internet style but I suppose your post had some valid points in it. Like designers are forced to style stuff among the limited code accessible and not transcend it, their innovation is somewhat restricted but still I assume Web Style won’t die! I agree that Amazon and other some big sites won’t have a blog however currently a days it’s terribly necessary to own some type of option on the market so individuals can quickly communicate their thoughts. I think Amazon if needs to shift it to that, they will get a customized CMS for themselves.

I quit watching around the time they broke up Angela and Hodgins and added Sweets to the cast full time.

I loved the show the first year, but as soon as it became really popular I think the writing went downhill.

Am I the only one who thinks Bones and Booth don’t make a good romantic couple?

I really hated what they did to Zach’s character at the end of season 3, and have quit watching the show. I’d be happy to hear B&B get together, but not enough to make me watch again.

I’m so happy it’s back, I can get my Bones fix every week. I’ve been watching the show since first season, first episode and have never missed it once. I was very disappointed with the season finale for last season. They should have just ended it with something more real than the whole episode spent in Booth’s dream. I’d rather that they stay friends for a few more seasons because their relationship is more than just lust. I think this is the first time where you don’t feel the sexual tension pulsing between the characters in every episode because that can get really annoying. It’s been wonderful watching them learn from each other and grow closer. So the writers of the show have to be careful in giving these two their HEA, these two characters are just too special for the run-of-the-mill happy ending!

^ I refused to watch Season 3 after hearing about the Zack storyline. I didn’t get into Bones until I borrowed Season 1 the summer before the Season 4 premiere. Then I proceeded to watch Season 2 and then tuned in every Thursday for season 4. I miss Zack and the Zack-Hodgins interactions!

I love Bones – less for the mystery and more for the characters and their interactions (which is why I HATED the whole Zack story line from a couple of seasons ago). I know a lot of people were po’d about the season ending last year but I thought it was cute. I enjoyed the season premiere.I’m not so sure about getting Booth and Bones together – I really enjoy that romantic tension. If the writers could get them together and keep it fun and flirty, I’d like to see that.

I think they’ll continue to tease us with the “Will they or won’t they”? I’d like to see what they do with Angela. And will they continue to have temporary replacements for the Zach position or will they finally stick to one person?

and omg, the psychic was Cyndi Lauper?! I kept on thinking, she looked so familiar, but I couldn’t get a handle on it!

I loved the season premiere! I’m not sure I want Booth and Brennan to get together unless it’s- for sure- the last season Bones will ever have. They have just the perfect amount of chemistry and romantic tension now. And if Booth and Brennan get together…Brennan’s rational shell would be cracked…and she wouldn’t really be the Brennan we’re used to seeing every week. But I do want them to have SOME romantic moments- even if I don’t want them to get together so soon.

I’m sort of on the fence about Booth and Bones getting together. The romantic in me really wants them to get together. The practical side of me, though, remembers all of the other shows that ended up dying after the leads finally got together. And I’m not ready for the show to be over — I love it too much. But right now my romantic side is winning, and I’m excited to see where the writers take the storyline.
