AAR Gets an A+ from Examiner.com

The review from the incredibly astute, lovely, and talented Stephanie Giancola appeared last Wednesday on the Examiner.com site. (Read, please.  We’ll wait for you right here.)

She likes us! She really likes us!

In case you haven’t yet caught on to the Examiner.com phenomena, the site offers both local and national coverage in a variety of areas – including romance novels.  It’s lively and fun and diverse in the subjects covered and has become a daily stop for me looking for UFO news and for Rachel on the prowl for Robert Pattinson gossip. (See, I said it was diverse.)

And, gee, their examiners – as they call their contributing writers – have really good taste, too!

And now for the acknowledgments.  AAR wouldn’t be…well, AAR without the dedicated efforts of a staff of amazingly talented, smart, and funny women who keep the reviews – the heart and soul of the site, as they always will be – and the blogs, polls, and interviews coming.  We’ve got an incredibly tight and hard-working group right now and we’re grateful for them all.

And we can’t forget our message board posters who bring diversity and brains and sass and wit to the site and who continue to blow me away every single day.  Here’s a tip of the hat to each and every one of you.

Of course, AAR’s publishers – Blythe, Rachel, Lynn and I – thank Stephanie for the review.  We also want to take this opportunity to publicly thank every AAR staffer who devotes countless hours to the site.  And, just as important, we want to say once again – because we can’t ever say it enough – how grateful we are for everyone who visits All About Romance.

All of us – publishers, editors, reviewers, pollsters, and visitors – share a common love of romance novels.  It’s kind of nice to take a moment to feel the love, isn’t it?

I know you guys put a lot of thought and long hours into providing us with all the riches on the site. I find myself using your reviews more than ever to find books worth reading, especially those buried treasures I wouldn’t have known about without the AAR community.

It only takes a minute to say thanks. So thank you very much!

@Stephanie Welcome to AAR! Hope you’ll continue to post on the message boards.

Me too, Kristie. AAR was the first site/community I found after I started reading romance, so I’ll always have a soft spot for it.
Congrats, everyone at AAR! Well deserved!

What a great article they did on AAR!! Congratulations! I still remember the thrill all these years later when I first found AAR and realized I wasn’t alone – that I had ‘People!’

Woo Hoo! After Avon’s belittling internet review sites (yes, I read that they weren’t really doing that — but that’s how it FELT to me), it’s gratifying to know that there are others out there who appreciate all your efforts. Plainly put, AAR just ROCKS!

Wow, that is outstanding! Of course all of you do such a wonderful job on AAR, and your reviews are superb…to the point and unbiased. I’m not at all surprised at the A+. This is the first I’ve heard of Examiner.com. I think I’ll start checking in there for news. Congrats!!
