Alison Tyler’s latest book, Sticky Fingers, takes the reader into the world of a professional thief and sexual thrill seeker. This book is not for the faint at heart. Nor is it for anyone seeking even a smidgen of romance, even though the cover calls it “an erotic romance.” Nonsense; this is pure erotica.

By day Jodi Silver is a buyer for an import-export business. By night she is a professional thief who steals for the thrill of it. She has no need for the money, she just gets high off of stealing. The only thing that brings her more pleasure then thievery is sex. The book’s back cover suggests it’s about a girl with a large appetite meeting her match in Nick Hudson. This is not quite true; instead it is a journey of sorts where the reader gets an up-close view of a very wild life style.

The book’s plot is razor thin. Nick is a detective who is trying to catch Jodi in the act of stealing. Instead, he catches her in several different sex acts. This draws him in, and he and Jodi began a game of cat and mouse that leads him on a chase through her activities with multiple partners.

There is a lot – and I do mean a lot – of sex in this book. It opens with Jodi having sex with her current lover and the latest item she has stolen, and proceeds to follow with sex with a woman, threesomes, BDSM, and public sex scenes.

As a reviewer there is not much I can say about this book. The plot is thin. It is a mystery of sorts, but I don’t buy it for one minute. The mystery plot seems to just be an excuse to propel the characters from sex scene to sex scene to sex scene, without much in between.

If you are looking for a book that has lots of sex in just about every way you can imagine, then this book is definitely for you. If you are looking for any thing else, you will be sadly disappointed. Cheek, which is an imprint of Virgin books, needs to better label its books; this is the second book touted as an erotic romance that is more or less straight erotica.
