Eagerly Awaited September Books

As I went over the list of September 2011 books that all of us on staff at AAR cannot wait to try, I noticed that, as usual, the list of books ran the gamut of romance subgenres. However, the unusual historicals certainly made a good showing. Two of them caught plenty of eyes here at AAR. They were The King’s Courtesan, a Restoration-set historical by Judith James, and Kissing Comfort, Jo Goodman’s latest Western. So, how do you plan to kick off fall?

I’m surprised that J.D. Robb’s “”New York to Dallas”” is not listed as an eagerly awaited September books…

Leigh, that’s also what I read at her website, that it’s just a one time change. “”Remember When””, when she combined a JD Robb/Nora Roberts book is one of my favorites. I was just curious. It would be nice to have Eve get more info on her childhood….some good news this time please.

Wow this must be the first time I haven’t got a single book on your list on preorder.

I will have to use September to catch up with my other books.

Victoria, Nora’s web page just says she and editor agree for a one time change. I wonder if major developments occur about Eve’s childhood?

I cannot believe I missed Judith James had another book coming out in September!! Thanks for the new (to me) find.
My list for September may be incorrect, but the ones I am waiting for include:
J.D. Robb New York to Dallas
Tessa Dare A Night to Surrender
Linda Howard Prey
Jennifer Blake Seduced by Grace
Stephanie Laurens In Pursuit of Miss Eliza Cynster (yeah, I still read
Cynster Books)
Victoria Alexander His Mistress by Christmas
Anne Mallory In Total Surrender
Rose Lerner A Lily Among Thorns
and now thanks to this website Judith James The King’s Courtesan.

Some of these dates may have changed and the books will be published not in September as I originally read.

Does anyone know why the new JD Robb won’t have an “”In Death”” title? not a problem, just curious. I understand she’s doing it just for this book, and I wondered if she has said why.

Christine Feehan’s Dark Predator is not on your September list. Comes out on the 9th.

Also looking forward to Tempted by Elizabeth Naughton, Body of Sin – Eve Silver, One Grave at a Time by Jeanine Frost (I buy the audiobook here), and Envy by JR Ward. Seems like a large PNR month for me this time around.

Ah and Lily Among Thorns by Rose Lerner, historical. I really loved In for a Penny, which had a bit of a different than usual plot to it.

Oh oh oh New York to Dallas, JD Robb – I have the entire series on Audiobook.

Wow that’s a full month for me.

I’m REALLY looking forward to THE KING’S COURTESAN and A LILY AMONG THORNS. Might check out the Dare and Dahl books, but not definite. One not on your list (tho may count for Oct) is Jeannie Lin’s follow-up to BUTTERFLY SWORDS, THE DRAGON AND THE PEARL due 9/20.

I’m waiting for Prey by Linda Howard (release date 9/6/2011) and New York to Dallas by JD Robb (release date 9/13/2011). I suspect the next three weeks will drag!
