Grammy Fashion
I love awards shows. I just don’t usually watch them. I wait until the next morning, and watch all the video compilations of the important parts– who won, who performed, who did something outrageous. And, of course, who wore what.
As you probably know, musicians were honored at the Grammy awards this past Sunday night. There were a lot of people looking fabulous, a lot of people I wondered why they were invited (Snooki?!), and a lot of people who weren’t looking their best. Among my favorite Red Carpet looks:
Lady Gaga. We all know she’s unpredictable, and while sometimes her outfits are just weird, I thought this one was surprisingly glamorous in a crazy-Lady Gaga way. Er, minus the hair. Also, her shoes are ridic. How does she walk in those things? Gaga’s sartorial choices are always controversial, this one included, but it’s one of my favorites of hers.
Lea Michele. I love Glee, and I love her, and I love her dress. Enough said.
My girl T-Swift (who may or may not be dating Lea Michele’s Glee co-star, Cory Monteith. Swoon!)
And the worst dressed of the night, in my opinion:

I never watch award shows – ever. But the day after I am all over the newsites to see who wore what. I dunno about Lady Gaga. The woman can sing there’s no doubt about it, but the dress……well, it’s better that that mask thingy she wore at one show.
Maybe one day she will quit all the weirdness and just sing.
Britney Spears — gack! She joins the list of celebrities who (a) obviously never look in the mirror before they get in the limo and (b) have no one in their immediate vicinity to tell them they are wearing a “worst dressed list” outfit.
Pink’s outfit was daring, but not quite as daring as her act. I saw somewhere that she said “No one ever has any excuse to lip sync” which I think is so true. I can’t believe she sang live while spinning upside down over the crowd. Incredible!
Loved Lady GaGa and her various outfits, in all her glorious weirdness! And I thought the duet with Sir Elton made him surprisingly relevant.
And… I thought Pink’s Cirque du Soleil-style outfit was amazing. What guts! Fabulous. I don’t understand why a whole lot of people are saying it was shocking. What? Everything was covered!
But Britney…. gaaaah! I don’t care if it was D&G, what was/were she/they/whomever thinking???
