Hey, quick question here – I think I remember (in a blog post abour AAR finances?) that the links are supposed to go to the amazon at the users location (which would be Germany for me). However, this does not happen for me. I usually try to just replace the ‘.com’ in the URL with an ‘.de’ which works roundabout 75% of the time. Does AAR still make comission from this? And is there maybe a way to do it for the other 25%?

I’m excited about the new Beverly Jenkins and the Courtney Milan. Curious about Annabeth Albert’s Cup of Joe. I loved Albert’s original barista stories, set in Portland. Over time, though, her more recent work has lost something for me. The work is ok but doesn’t stand out. I’ll be curious to see if this new one – back into the barista milieu – merely holds up or if Albert returns to that more original voice.

Courtney Milan’s web site give March 8th as her latest release date. I hope Feb. 8th is the one.

Courtney Milan posted today on Facebook that she had to delay the release. I’m assuming Amazon will update soon.

I am reading The Duke Who Didn’t/strong> right now. It has, oddly enough, lots in common with Bridgerton.

For some reason I am having a hard time getting into this and I love Courtney Milan. I am actually rereading The Bros Sinister.

It feels like such a fairy tale to me in ways that I’m not sure are my cup of tea.

It’s, in many ways, excellent. It’s warm, funny, and the hero is to die for. But it’s oddly frivolous. Which I usually like but somehow thus far, in this story, is leaving me a little lost.

I have two books on preorder:

Cate Glass (Carol Berg) concludes her fantasy trilogy with A Summoning of Demons.

Carla Kelly seems too go in a new direction with a historical set in Spain, The Necklace. The blurb is sketchy.

For other books, I will wait for reviews, like the Rai and the Clayborn.

Thanks for the reminder on Cate Glass. The date for the 3rd book has really crept up on me.

I loved the hero and many other aspects of “Love Lettering” so very much look forward to this one.

Love Lettering is one book I might have liked better in print. Nicol Zanaretti was good, but she narrated Meg with a “cry” in her voice, making her sound just a little whiny to me. Plus, the author used the term “swoonch” (I have no idea how to spell it) so often I started to cringe. I don’t think it would have affected me as much in print. Otherwise, I liked the main characters and watching them learn to communicate with each other was a treat. I’d be willing to try this author again.

Jackie Ashenden releases IN THE DARK, the first book of a duet, on February 1. The book and its sequel (WITH THE LIGHTS ON, scheduled for May) appears to feature both best friend’s sister and Beauty & the Beast tropes. The books are being released through Harlequin’s Dare line, which is being discontinued at some point this year.

Natasha Knight releases WITH THIS RING on February 2 and I THEE TAKE on February 23. At least that was the plan—I can see I THEE TAKE in the Kindle Store, but not WITH THIS RING. [Insert “Huh?”emoji here.] This is a dark mafia romance featuring a forced/arranged marriage.

TALES OF DARKNESS AND SIN is scheduled for February 9. This anthology features short stories from some of my favorite dark romance writers: A. Zavarelli, Cora Reilly, Natasha Knight, Sierra Simone, and Skye Warren, among others. Plus, all royalties will benefit the National Women’s Law Center which represents a variety of women’s rights and LGBTQIA issues—so buying it is a win-win.

Lauren Blakely’s MY ONE WEEK HUSBAND will drop on February 19. This was originally to be titled ONE ALLURING CHANCE, but a change was recently made. This features business partner MCs who have to pretend to be married to snag a business deal. Let the fake relationship & enforced proximity begin!

On February 24, Juliana Stone releases SLOW KIND OF LOVE, the next in her Crystal Lake series. This one features an age gap with an older heroine and a former football player hero.
